Angelic Buster Guide

^Introduction: Angelic Buster, the Idol of the battlefield.

You can view the video version of this guide right here!

Angelic Buster is a DEX based pirate class, which has been released into GMS during one of the final parts of the Tempest patch, on January 9th. They use a newly introduced one handed weapon by the name of “Soul Shooter” and as a unique trait, only has HP. MP has been replaced by the recharge system, which requires you to use different skills to charge up.

Angelic Buster is gender locked to female only!

^Story of Tear, the Dragon without tail.

Born without either a tail, or magical abilities, Tear endured bullying and disappointment from her peers and Nova elders. However, her only two friends Kyle and Velderoth watched over her and cared for her, since the day they met.

Together with her friends, they formed the Heliseum Force, dreaming that one day, they will recapture their homeland, which was stolen from them.

Years after the creation of the Heliseum force, they are sucked in to the war between good and evil that rages through Pantheon. Tear somehow calls upon the power of an ancient relic, to resque her dearest friends. Even though her plan works, she receives more than she bargained for. Upon waking up she is told that she is cursed to forever walk around with the relic stuck to her arm.

Enraged and broken she leaves to hide away from everyone in the Heliseum force hideout. When walking, the voice of the ancient Nova dragon warrior, Eskalade speaks to her explaining her newly found powers and of her new destiny. Becoming the idol of the battlefield, Angelic Buster!

^Creating your Idol

The creation of your idol, is just like any other character. Though like I have previously said, you aren’t able to make a male Angelic Buster due to the gender lock. When in the character creation screen, you are given the option of two styles of hair and eyes. These you can see above. Just like with the other newly added Tempest characters, Luminous and Kaiser, you can choose any color of hair.

2.1. Ability points

If you didn’t get the memo yet, with the Tempest patch the secondary stat requirements have been taken away. You can now focus all of your skill points on your primary stat, which in the case of Angelic Buster is DEX.

With the skill points you have left over, you can raise your strength for additional range or HP to icnrease your surviability.

2.2 Character card effect

2.3 Pros and cons

Pros
Has both melee and ranged skills.
Uses no MP potions.
Able to hit very high over the damage cap.
Nova Warrior is a lot cheaper than Maple Warrior.
Very unique skill wise, as opposed to other classes.

Cons
The class is gender locked.
Has fairly low HP.
Has nearly no party skills, the one she does have has a cooldown.
The attacking speed is very slow, and it’s not really worth it bossing wise unless you really do overcap.

2.4 Dress UP!

Dress up is a skill in the beginner’s tab that is used to transform into Angelic Buster. It is also the skill used to revert back to your regular self. To use your Angelic Buster skills, you will need to be transformed. Therefore whenever you use your skills, you will automatically transform.

There’s 3 special attires for Dress up modes in the cash shop, especially designed for Angelic Buster only.

2.5 New weapons

Our lovely Nova Idol uses the newly introduced weapon by the name of “Soul Shooter”. Next to that, she also uses Soul rings and Emblems. The Soul ring being a secondary weapon and the Emblem being the same as the Kaiser Emblem. Both are counted as a weapon when it comes to cubing, so that means extra bossing damage!

Neither the Emblem nor the ring can be scrolled any further.

2.6 Linked skill

Angelic’s linked skill is called Soul Contract. When the skill is used, the attacks used in the next 10 seconds will have an increase in damage by 100%. When you link it on another character, the buff will be decreased to 50%. There is a cool down of 90 seconds.

2.7 Soul Battery

Soul Battery skills are powerful attacks that must be recharged after use, and the only way to recharge them is by attacking enemies! Different attacks will recharge the skills at different rates, and the Affinity Heart skills can help them recharge faster. You’ll know a skill needs to be recharged when its icon turns gray. The Soul Battery UI lists all available Soul Battery skills and their availability.

3.1.4. Explanation.

We get 5 SP after the Story Line and we allocate them to Star Bubble, Affinity I and Feather Hop. Maxing Feather Hop first for mobility will get you moving around quicker in the maps, and Affinity I for the Recharge ability and also for the speed. Then comes Star Bubble the First Job’s only attacking skill, and then Melody Cross for that increase of Accuracy.

^3.2 Second job advancement.

Affinity II: MAX
Soul Shooter Mastery: [b]MAX
Beautiful Soul: MAX
Pink Pummel: MAX
Power Transfer: MAX
Lovely Sting: 19

3.2.4. Explanation.

We put in 1 SP for Pink Pummel and Lovely Sting as it is out 2nd Job’s main attacking skills, and we put the rest in Affinity II, and continue to max out the skill. We then max Soul Shooter Mastery which gives 20 attack and boosts your damage. We max out Beautiful Soul, easy and quick and after that we max out one of the attacking skills, this depends on which skill you prefer the most when you train, in my case I prefer to max Pink Pummel. We continue our SP on Power Transfer just to decrease a bit of the damage we take in from getting hit, and then we put the remaining SP in the skill the one the skills you have left to be leveled. Just in mind we can’t max everything in this Advancement, we leave one of them at 19.

Affinity IV: MAX
Dragon Whistle: MAX
Heavenly Crash: MAX

3.2.4. Explanation.

We start off by putting one in each Affinity III for the damage buff, Land Crash as a main attacking skill for third job, Soul Seeker for another attacking skill, and Iron Lotus for a little stance at the beginning, and at the next level we put one point into Falling star so that we have one point in each of the attacking skills.

We continue on to max Affinity III for the damage buff and the permanent raise of DEX of 40 and chance of recharge if you fail three recharges in a row. We then proceed to Call of Ancient another attack buff which increase weapon attack by 40 at level 20. So after the two buffs being maxed, we continue on to max our main mobbing attack Land Crash and then followed by Soul Seeker. We max Iron Lotus for stance and Falling Star. Lastly we max Inner Peace for extra HP, defense and magic defense.

With the introduction of the Tempest patch (which is expected to come around in December for GMS), we will be receiving new skills. These skills are called Hyper skills. They are located in your skills tab, displayed through a separate button.

3.5.2. How do these skill points work?

Like I said before, they’re in a separate tab from your regular skills, and you will not have to give up Skill points from your current growths to add to them.

There are three different types of Hyper skills. You will be receiving separate skill points for these skills.

6 Skill points.

2. Skill enhancing passive skills (9 total).

Every skill will be maxed after adding 1 skill point. This means that for enhancing skills, you will have to make choices. While for attacks and buffs, you will be able to max out all skills.

Starting at level 140, you will be receiving skill points every 10 levels.

Level 140:
Stat enhancing SP: +1
